“Bluetooth Receipt Printer For Square 2018”

Of all the times I`ve used Square, no one has asked for a receipt. I just tell them the purchase will appear on their statement as “so and so business” They say OK and go about thier business. Appartently I look so honest they could care less!

Just click the Transaction and the Receipt will preview on the right-hand side. At the bottom, you’ll see the receipt number (ex: Receipt #H8R5). Click that and it will show you the digital version of the receipt. From there you’re good to print on the standard 8×11 printer paper.

** If you are using the Square Register app, this is the USB version of the Star TSP143 Printer and must be used with the Square Stand Hardware. You will need a Star ethernet or bluetooth printer if you are using Square or a similar Point of Sale app with the tablet or device by itself.

There are several different price points in the market. Most devices run from $50 and up to $300. But you will want to make sure that the printer you purchase works with the payment processor that you’re using for mobile payments. Generally you will find ethernet printers and blue tooth printers. Ethernet printers are for businesses that won’t move around. You’re in a stationary position most of the time if not all the time. Bluetooth printers allow you to move around. Some of the bluetooth printers are very rugged. And they need to be. You might be near a beach, at a concert, political rally or somewhere where you want to make some quick sales.

@SSmobile @Kevin7 – I went ahead and moved both of your comments over to the thread where we are tracking this feature request. I totally understand your frustration and desire for Epson support. They make a mean printer that is also a fraction of the cost of most Star printers. I have personally passed this feedback along to our product team, and expanding compatibility is something that is top of mind for them. I’ll update this thread if/when this functionality is added in the future!

A best seller, the Star mPOP combines both a cash drawer and receipt printer into a Bluetooth-enabled, compact unit. The mPOP is perfect for low-mid volume vendors who are looking for a simple, integrated point of sale solution.

The printer that Square supports is one of the largest used brands in the receipt printer market.  They are not getting kickbacks on printers as the printers are sold by hundreds of places including Amazon, and the buyer doesn’t know you are buying it to print with Square as the printer is also used by 100s of other POS systems. More printer options would always be better, but as this is one of the industry standard printers it only makes sense they support it.

Hi, Travis from POSGuys.com. Today we’ll be reviewing the M series of printers from Epson. This is the TM-M30 and the TM-M10 receipt printers. They’re both thermal receipt printers, they’re similar form factor where they’re very square. This is the 3-inch version, this is the 2-inch version. By 3-inch version, this means this uses standard receipt printer of 3 inch width, and this uses a 2 inch, smaller receipt paper. They’re both top load or front load, this is set into front-load version, this is set in to top-load version. They print at a reasonable rate, this is an 8-inch per second, and this is a 6-inch per second. The 8-inch per second is the same as the current model TM-T20ii version, so it’s the same print speed, it’s just a much more compact form factor.

While a lot of businesses no longer deal with large amounts of cash, as with printed receipts, your customers still need it as an option. With a cash drawer, you can accept cash payments and give change. As with many POS peripherals, the cash drawer may connect to the register via USB cord, or it could even be wireless.

Connect supported receipt printers, cash drawers, and bar code scanners to the Square app on the iPad. If you have any connectivity issues after following the steps below, learn how to troubleshoot your hardware.

PayPal Here and Square have fairly similar hardware setup. The main between the two is PayPal Here uses the device camera as a built in barcode scanner. To use a barcode scanner with Square, you need to purchase an external Bluetooth scanner. For more information on compatible hardware, see our PayPal Here Basics Article or Square Basics article. Square also offers the Square Stand, a stand with a built-in magnetic stripe card reader and USB hub.
