You pay for computer use by the minute, so naturally the Internet is outrageously SLOW. The people working here have no idea about anything. The girl that helped us took 10 mins to give us the most import piece of info that to print from your Dropbox you actually have to use the small Dropbox stand hidden in the corner behind the color printer. Staples is great at stealing your money and wasting your time.

Your printer settings are tied to the USB port on the hardware hub where you initially connected the printer. If you unplug your receipt printer from the hub, be sure to take note of the port number for future reference.

A contemporary alternative to a traditional cash register or EPOS system, the mPOP offers a compact and sleek design with the ability to connect the mobile device of your choice  – Apple, Android, Windows or Linux tablet or smartphone for simple Bluetooth pairing. The multiple functions and connectivity of the mPOP™ make processing customer transactions in retail and hospitality environments smooth and effortless.

There are a wide variety of reports you can run from the Dashboard: you can run reports on sales by most popular item, by date, by payment methods, and by category. You can dig deep into sales reports and see which days or times of day most sales happen, and what items sell most at those times. Square can also generate sales reports that compare current sales to sales from a previous week or year, and any of these reports can be emailed to yourself. In addition, you can access customer analytics from the Dashboard, including trend reports for returning customers, see what’s bringing in new customers, and set up customer loyalty programs.

Please keep in mind that mobile Bluetooth printers (such as the SM-S220i or SM-T300i) cannot connect with printer driven cash drawers. Mobile printers can only be used with manual cash drawers. In addition, manual cash drawers will always work with any iPad set up.

Yes. The paper is design for newer type of NETS terminal and it can fit into current or older NETS terminal as well as credit card terminal. It can be use for mPOP Integrated receipt printer and cash drawer or hand held printer SM-S220i as well.

These printers aesthetically match up really well with a mobile type of set up. So if you’re using an iPad, a Surface tablet, you have a small stand and you’re using a very compact set-up with a very small cash drawer, then these are kind of designed to meet that look, and are very space-saving. The LED lights are also changed from like a traditional green to being a glowing blue, so much more modern looking receipt printers than you see traditionally. Interface-wise, these both have USB. They’re also available with Bluetooth or Ethernet, and then NFC is also in an available connection, at least coming soon to them.

A simple print button on the tablet application would allow us to connect to a local or network printer and print the same form data. Why is this still impossible? Why can we still not utilize our desktop or local printers to print receipt data from the app?

The Wireless scanners come pre-programmed to not interfere with each other. If you find that they are interfering, you will need to set them on separate channels. Instructions are in the manual. If it doesn’t work for you, contact us and we will walk you through the steps.

Went to print out some stuff after work only to discover that this particular Staples is trapped in 1998 with painfully outdated computers, a prehistoric version of Internet Explorer and dial-up speed internet that worked maybe 40% of time for the 10 minutes I was there. Do you think nobody in this city has a goddamn Gmail account, Staples? DO YOU?

The free Square Dashboard app works in sync with Square Point of Sale and lets you view your live sales data in seconds. You can access powerful analytics, and easy tools to help you track and improve your business.

Since it’s cheaper and easier to use hardware with the Square Stand, that seems to give it the advantage, and depending on your business, that can be the case. However, the Square Stand is pretty much the only point of sale solution for iPad that supports USB hardware. If you think there’s a chance you may outgrow Square or want to upgrade to a different point of sale software in the future, such as ShopKeep, Ambur, Aldelo Touch, etc, your USB hardware wouldn’t be compatible. Square’s new point of sale app, Square for Retail, however, will still work with the Square Stand and your hardware.

It supports 58mm width thermal paper printing, with high printing speed, clear printing & low noise. Power saving for long time use. You can connect it with your smartphone via bluetooth & WiFi. Print…

The Square Stand works with any printer driven cash drawer, as long as the cash drawer is compatible with the receipt printer you’re using. We successfully used the Square Stand with APG, MMF, and POS-X printer driven cash drawers (hooked up to our TSP100 USB printer), but any printer driven cash drawer should work. If you’re looking for a cash drawer to use instead of the official cash drawers, we recommend:

Currently we do not ship POS kits to Europe. We have a number of Sellers in Europe using Square, who might have some insight into this issue. The Square Stand is sold at Best Buy, Staples, and the Apple store. One of these retailers might be able to ship a Stand internationally, but I can’t say for sure.

Another essential piece of POS hardware, the credit card terminal/reader, comes in many different varieties and form factors. It could be just a basic magstripe card reader, or one that’s capable of accepting both swiped cards and chip-card transactions. It might be a standard reader that works for multiple POS systems, such as the Ingenico iCT220, or a proprietary reader that only works with your particular POS software. The reader might be a separate item that plugs into your tablet, or be incorporated into the register interface as an all-in-one terminal, as is the case with Clover Mini’s credit card terminal.

I get a confirmation email that my reprint is done. The lady says it is not there. I show her the confirmation email. She says that the employee probably never asked them to send the banner to the store. So it’s done, but it’s hanging out at some factory because they carelessly forgot to send it to the store.

I do appreciate your post though and I wanted to let you know that we are working to provide support for more printers and your feedback is welcome! For example, we recently launched support for several Epson printers which can be used with Square on iOS devices (the full list of printers here).

In addition to its ability to pair with iOS, Android and other popular mobile platforms, the SM-T300i has easy drop in & print paper loading, a reliable and quick print speed of 75mm per second, and an intuitive LCD display.Dust protected and splash-proof resistant (IP54 Certified), the SM-T300i is rugged enough for outside field workers requiring handhelds to seamlessly print from a mobile device to a durable portable printer. The SM-T300i also allows for restaurant servers and clerks working in demanding retail and hospitality environments to print standard three inch format receipts wherever they need to. Its rugged and splash proof design combined with standard three inch receipt printing and a long battery life make the SM-T300i a welcomed option.

I agree! I wish we were able to support more printers too! I’ll be sure to pass along your feedback. Our Product Team loves to hear what sellers have to say! In the meantime, it sounds like you might have to print off a more custom receipt.

NOT FOR USE WITH SQUARE STAND! If using a Square Stand consider the Square Stand Starter kit which has a printer that plugs into the stand. The printer in this kit must be plugged into your router.
