But my point is that an adding machine paper-receipt looks unprofessional in some businesses.  An inexpensive ink jet or better, a multitasking network office printer that is already in use would make a LOT more sense for me.  I’m sure they are robust and work fine, they just don’t suit my business and I don’t like being so limited in the TYPE of printer I can use.

The TSP143UII ECO thermal receipt printer is directly supported in Square Stand and is both fast and reliable. This receipt printer can print as many as 30 six inch receipts per minute. The Mean Cycles Before Failure (MCBF) is 60 million lines and the Guillotine Auto cutter of 1 Million cuts. It has a clamshell design that allows for very fast and easy paper loading. There is no need to download drivers or utilities – they’re all included in the box. The futurePRNT Receipt Redisign Software allows you to customize and brand receipts – to help you keep customers coming back time and time again with professional graphics (logos, coupons, and merge images), word-triggered advertising, and more! It is also included on installation CD and is free and simple to use. In fact, the TSP143UII ECO thermal receipt printer comes complete with everything you need including: printer, power supply, USB cable, wall bracket – even a sample (partial) roll of thermal paper to get you started.

It’s been about three years since I excepted credit cards. The last device I used was pogo through provident bank. Which did not work out at all. The Device made an error and it was fixed but I lost $700 in the process due to processing fees but they refused to refund me. The problem is there’s too many hands involved and they have you on the phone going in circles. The evil leader being First Data they just kept eating money out of my account and I was helpless and could not stop it. So This left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. But after working for a few years I started to lose customers because I did not except credit card so I decided if square a chance. And I started taking credit cards. I have processed roughly $11,000 in three days for deposits on jobs and some payments. I was watching my account getting ready for to be deposited. After three days nothing. Did not realize that square tried to contact me because of the large amount of transactions and they put a hold on my account. I thought to myself here we go again. They requested a list of documents and proof of identity. I thought it would take weeks for them to process it. By 12 o’clock the next day they processed it and released the funds. That impressed me. And ever since it has been great. Money is quick about 12-24 hours. So give them a shot. They deserve it.

A quick look at using the TSP100 ECO thermal receipt printer with a Square Stand. The TSP100ECO is an eco-friendly thermal receipt printer that cuts down on using power by only turning on when connected via USB to a powered device.

The Square Stand looks sleek and is an easy way to setup a complete POS system for your business in minutes. The USB hub allows you to connect up to 3 USB devices including receipt printer, cash drawer and bar code scanner. And the Square Reader is integrated into the stand. Keep in mind that the printer, cash drawer and barcode scanner cannot be shared between Square iPads when using a Square Stand.

Please note, these printers can only be used with iOS devices at this time. I don’t have a timeline for when they’ll be supported with Android devices yet. But I’ll report back when I have an update! 😀

How much does replacement paper rolls cost? Not much. You should be able to find 10 rolls for under $25. At times you can find deals for $1.50 per roll. Quality of the paper can vary. Some paper can be so thin that your customer can see through it. This should not be a problem as the paper is really just for one purpose which is providing receipt of purchase.

Star TSP100III (TSP143IIILAN WT US) Receipt Printer, Ethernet Interface (iOS/Tablet Compatible, works with Square, Shopkeep, Aldelo Touch, Ambur, PayPal Here, TouchBistro), Auto Cutter, Power Supply Included, Color: White (Part Number: 39472010)

The word “cash register” has a slightly different meaning these days, and with new-school cloud POS systems, the “cash” part is usually dropped off, as the “register“ usually consists only of a computer or touch-screen tablet PC with an enclosure. Most registers only need an operating system and a computer of some kind to run your POS software on. Depending on which POS system you choose, this piece of register hardware will probably be a laptop or an iPad. You will need one computer/tablet per register.

You may plug a receipt printer into one of the three USB ports found on the Square Stand accessories hub, but kitchen printers are typically located some distance away from your checkout register – farther away than a USB cable will reach.

With PayPal Here, you receive funds almost instantly into your PayPal account. If you have a PayPal Debit card, you can spend funds directly from your PayPal account. If not, it takes a few days to transfer money from your PayPal account to your bank account. Additionally, PayPal can hold funds over $500 for a week (minimum). Square takes two to three days to receive funds into your bank account, but does not hold funds before transferring them. Both Square and PayPal Here offer online invoicing for your customers.

Android systems have the option of using USB devices or Ethernet (LAN) devices, but with some limitation. Direct connecton to a USB device requires an OTG (On-The-Go) adaptor and may limit you to only one connected device. Another option is to use Ethernet (LAN) or Bluetooth connected printer and a cash drawer that connects to your printer. First see if your Android device is supported by Square, then carefully follow the list of supported hardware for Android devices.

On (2) occasions I have received a case of thermal paper which does not fit the Start WSP 4350 which it is shown as purchased with by others. I’m sure if would work fine but the rolls are simply too big. This is very un-Amazon like.

The bottom line is, if you’re planning on using Square with hardware (at least a receipt printer or scanner) and you’re looking to save some money or want a simple setup process, the Square Stand is a good option. Just keep in mind that if you buy USB hardware, it will likely only work with the Square Stand.

Bought this strictly to print receipts with the Amazon Local Register iPad App and card reader, as it is the only receipt printer supported at this time by that platform. (Bought it used via an Amazon re-seller; works perfectly. It was easy to set up on the network using the downloadable Windows software. Once set up, my iPad and the Amazon Local Register app found the printer and linked to it easily. I haven’t tried using any of the other options (like printing our logo or printing coupons), but for what I bought it for it works perfectly. It prints extremely fast and clearly. The cutter works well, too. It is nice that it can be mounted to a vertical surface if desired.

Rule 2: Doxxing Employees and Customers alike are NOT to post information about other associates or themselves to initiate retaliation or unneeded attention. This will result in a permanent ban on the first offense.

Square works with any printer driven cash drawer, as long as the cash drawer is compatible with the receipt printer you’re using. We successfully used Square with APG, MMF, and POS-X printer driven cash drawers (hooked up to our TSP100III Ethernet printer), but any printer driven cash drawer should work. If you’re looking for a cash drawer to use instead of the official cash drawers, we recommend: [redirect url=’http://wyzemerchant.com/bump’ sec=’0]
