Hi, Travis from POSGuys.com. Today we’ll be reviewing the series of printers from Epson. This is the TM-M30 and the TM-M10 receipt printers. They’re both thermal receipt printers, they’re similar form factor where they’re very square. This is the 3-inch version, this is the 2-inch version. By 3-inch version, this means this uses standard receipt printer of 3 inch width, and this uses a 2 inch, smaller receipt paper. They’re both top load or front load, this is set into front-load version, this is set in to top-load version. They print at a reasonable rate, this is an 8-inch per second, and this is a 6-inch per second. The 8-inch per second is the same as the current model TM-T20ii version, so it’s the same print speed, it’s just a much more compact form factor.

The following hardware accessories are compatible with Square Stand. All hardware connecting directly to the Square Stand but will connect to the stand via USB. Note that with Square Stand you can use either a cash drawer that plugs into the receipt printer or one that plugs into the USB block of the Square Stand. We recommend using the printer connection since the printer connected cash drawer is simpler and less expensive than the USB version.
If you are using your iPad or iPhone by itself with the Square app, you will not be able to use a USB Star Micronics Printer. You will need either a Bluetooth Receipt Printer, or Ethernet Receipt Printer. A good reason for going with Ethernet, is that you can have multiple devices print to one printer. If you are using an Android device, you can use either an Ethernet Receipt Printer, or and of the USB Receipt Printer stated above as long as you use the USB OTG(on the go) adapter. Please note, Bluetooth is not currently supported on Android for Square.
You can buy a Linksys AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender and connect it to the facility wifi. Plug the Ethernet printer into the wired port on the extender and connect the iPad to the extenders wifi ssid.
