This unit quit after 60 days, 30 days after the 30 day “warranty.” so is not eligible for a return/replacement. I am very dissapointed as I run a small business and do not have a lot of funds to throw around. It should last longer than a couple months. When i was using it, it was great. Until it quit. It does not recognize the Ipad or charge or swipe cards. I have tried the troubleshooting guidelines and they did not help. I assume the thing just died.

Connectivity: And just like that, all the purchases made at all concession stores on the point of sale system are integrated, so you have complete access to financial information, storage/supplies and more. There has never been an easier way to make sure you and your employees are synchronized for maximum efficiency.
Since you can’t buy in bulk for a discount and you can’t stock up on a deal unless you have large off-site storage facilities, there are higher raw materials costs with a catering truck, lunch cart or food stand. Imaging using an advanced iPad based food truck POS system that helped you understand you food costs better by seeing what sells, and what doesn’t sell.
Looked for a long time and at many different types of stands to find a replacement for existing stands we’ve been using for several months and needed to replace with a more stylish, easier to use option. We now have 6 of these stands. They look good, are easy to use and much more stylish than our old ones. The base is very sturdy, with no danger of tipping over, even without being screwed to the desktop. The only thing I’d prefer is that the iPad holder itself was metal and not plastic, but other than that, this stand is definitely the best of all the other available options.
Another big question that comes with iPad POS systems is this: Is this technology the right way to go for all types of retailers? In this case, only time will tell. Although it can’t be truly predicted, it’s a fact that cloud-based POS systems are both simplistic and convenient, and there probably aren’t too many retailers out there that aren’t interested in simplicity and convenience when it comes to managing and operating their business.
The readers that utilize an audio jack work by converting the credit card numbers into sound waves, which are then deciphered by the app. However, this type of system can be a security risk: InformationWeek found that an audio jack-based reader could easily be used to skim credit cards and capture customers’ numbers. Anecdotal user reviews have also shown audio jack readers to perform poorly, which can cause frustration for employees and customers at checkout.
So I like the stand and it would get a 5 star review, but I’m not exactly sure that I got a brand new item or not. The product came in the most amazing package, would remind you of Apple…but on the front of the stand frame around the ipad there are tiny scratches, it’s not smooth like you’d expect something brand new to be. Also the swipe part that actually runs the card through, the plastic is ill fitting. You can squeeze the back wall of this part and the plastic is bulging out at least 1mm or two and you can see it’s not sitting flush with the rest of the stand…The seams should be spot on like they are with the rest of the stand…but they’re not. Would love to exchange it and give another stand a try, maybe I just got a funky one?
When it comes to introducing new technology in your business, there’s a chance it will be met with some resistance by your customers. While mobile POS systems are a more convenient way to accept payment, it’s important that you continue to accept cash or checks, as well.
The deployment represents one of Revel’s biggest projects so far, says Lisa Falzone, chief executive and cofounder of the 3-year-old company, which counts Popeye’s Chicken and Goodwill among its clients. She adds that two other stadiums, which she can’t yet name, have also signed up to use the tablets. “This is definitely the way of the future,” she tells Digital Transactions News.
iPad sales certainly have Apple CEO Tim Cook smiling. But even with 225 million units sold, the tech giant isn t resting on its laurels. When the iPad Air hit the market in 2013, its slender design and…
With the release of the iPad mini in 2012, Apple proved that big and beautiful things sometimes come in small and sleek packages. The third-generation 2014 iPad mini 3 looks a lot like its predecessor,…

It starts by choosing iPad vs. Android for your POS tablet. iPads reduce the need for user s to be tech savvy because it just works. Every manufacturer of Android puts it’s own “flavor” on their tablets, so who knows what you’re getting and if it will even be compatible with your POS hardware. Android is a mix match, and that’s the last thing you want to get into when your business is depending on it. Sure, you can use a rock as a hammer, but wouldn’t you rather just go buy a hammer? The most reliable food truck POS will leverage iPad hardware and software reliability to keep you going! [redirect url=’http://wyzemerchant.com/bump’ sec=’0]
