It’s also humorous how bad my signature is when done with my finger on an iPod touch screen. Naturally, it doesn’t look nearly as good as the example screenshot. Speaking of that shot, Dorsey did note that in the future they plan to acknowledge how many times you’ve been to a certain place, and could even offer up deals from the vendors — not unlike the Foursquare coupon model, which Dorsey is also an investor in.

Overall, this is a great printer. I can’t complain about the price because for similar thermal printers, this is relatively cheap. Any cheaper and there are issues with printing mechanics and whatnot.
This is one of the more common receipt printers used with Square Payments. It generally costs less than $200. It come in white and black color. It has an auto-cutter to slice receipt paper for you. It uses thermal paper so you never never need to fill it with ink. It is generally easy to maintain and add paper when you need it. So this is a printer that works well in a wide variety of environments. However, if you are in a kitchen or some area where the air is moist you may want to get an impact printer as thermal paper does not work well in moist environments where there is little ventilation. Went to print out some stuff after work only to discover that this particular Staples is trapped in 1998 with painfully outdated computers, a prehistoric version of Internet Explorer and dial-up speed internet that worked maybe 40% of time for the 10 minutes I was there. Do you think nobody in this city has a goddamn Gmail account, Staples? DO YOU?

Impact printers print by using an ink ribbon on standard receipt printer. They are not heat sensitive, so are best for using in kitchens or other hot environments. They tend to print slowly and are loud, so we would only recommend them for businesses that need heat-resistant printing. Square works with: [redirect url=’http://wyzemerchant.com/bump’ sec=’0]
