To begin, we have been using Square for almost 4 years. Over that time we have integrated square more and more into our business. We are happy to report that this has been a great decision. The app is always being updated and keeps getting the features that we ask for. All you have to do is email or call and tell their customer service department what features you really want to see in the future. Then sure enough in a month or two the very thing you asked for is added in or has some beginning resemblance of what you had asked for. Do not be deterred by the negative reviews. Most of them are people who have decided that the review section for the app is the best wY to ask a question to the support staff. Or they may be engaged in some kind of shady business that is prohibited by square.
See Square’s Compatibility Configuration to check if your iPad is compatible. If you would like to use Square with an iPad not listed, please see our page on using a Square Card Reader for iPad. Unsure about whether you should use the Square Stand or a Square card reader for your business? See our Square Stand vs. Square Card Reader comparison.
Most POS system providers sell bundled hardware sets. These are convenient because you get everything you need, and you know that the hardware you buy will be compatible with your particular POS system, and with the other POS hardware components.
Overall, this is a great printer. I can’t complain about the price because for similar thermal printers, this is relatively cheap. Any cheaper and there are issues with printing mechanics and whatnot.
I do appreciate your post though and I wanted to let you know that we are working to provide support for more printers and your feedback is welcome! For example, we recently launched support for several Epson printers which can be used with Square on iOS devices (the full list of printers is here).
The TSP143UII ECO thermal receipt printer is directly supported in Square Stand and is both fast and reliable. This receipt printer can print as many as 30 six inch receipts per minute. The Mean Cycles Before Failure (MCBF) is 60 million lines and the Guillotine Auto cutter of 1 Million cuts. It has a clamshell design that allows for very fast and easy paper loading. There is no need to download drivers or utilities – they’re all included in the box. The futurePRNT Receipt Redisign Software allows you to customize and brand receipts – to help you keep customers coming back time and time again with professional graphics (logos, coupons, and merge images), word-triggered advertising, and more! It is also included on installation CD and is free and simple to use. In fact, the TSP143UII ECO thermal receipt printer comes complete with everything you need including: printer, power supply, USB cable, wall bracket – even a sample (partial) roll of thermal paper to get you started.

The ultimate POS stand for iPad and iPad Mini, built with feedback from existing retail and hospitality customers. The Swivel POS Stand lifts (77mm) and angles your iPad at the ideal height and pitch, and optionally rotates smoothly 180 degrees for screen sharing with customers. We recommend a bolted/screwed installation but a strong 3M adhesive can be used instead. A built-in Kensington locking port gives you the option to secure your iPad.
I’m interested in eliminating some cables in my restaurant so I’ve been researching Star’s Wireless printers. Is the Star Micronics TSP143IIIW printer compatible with my Square POS app? My current printer is located pretty far away from my wireless router so I’m trying to find a non-ethernet option.

With resistance to the most brutal environments, APG drawers feature sturdy steel frames powder coated in cloud white or black to resist scratches and other external abuse. Nothing about registering Square Trade is automatic except that Staples emails you if you have a rewards card. The email is a reminder to register your plan. Every single plan I’ve purchased Square Trade has required me to send a receipt and register manually.
The stability and user experiences of any Point-of-sale solutions rely heavily on the software, hardware and support. We take the initiative to introduce top quality hardware design to endure heavy usage and responsiveness. Nonetheless, we take a step ahead to recommend hardware that is resilient to failure and easily to restore. So that you will have a peace of mind and sell more!
As VanKalkerFarms answer states, Point of Sale is not compatible with standard desktop printers at this time. A possible solution might be to view your receipts on your online Dashboard after the transaction is complete and you can print them from there on a desktop printer.
These tags must exactly match the tags you added when you set up your products. You can check these by logging in to the Vend web-app, and clicking the products tab. You can then either look at individual products, or use the ‘tags’ tab to see what you’ve already got set up. If you want to know more about setting up tags on products, read this article .
Star TSP100III (TSP143IIILAN GRY US) Receipt Printer, Ethernet Interface (iOS/Tablet Compatible, Works with Square, Shopkeep, Aldelo Touch, Ambur, PayPal Here, TouchBistro), Auto Cutter, Power Supply Included, Color: Grey
To use a kitchen printer with Square Stand you can connect the printer into the USB dongle on the Stand or you can use the Ethernet connection on the Wireless Router. Your choice of connection determines which printer you need to buy.
A note about cash drawers: For the most part, cash drawers connect to Square via your receipt printer. As long as you’re using a Square-compatible receipt printer, any printer-driven cash drawer that works with that printer will also work with both the Square Stand and Square with a reader. There is a USB cash drawer option that bypassess a receipt printer and plugs into the Square Stand directly, the APG Vasario USB, but this cash drawer is much more expensive (around $230, compared to printer driven cash drawers, which start at around $95). In addition, all manual cash drawers will work with either set up (they do not open automatically at the end of a transaction, you simply open them manually) and start at around $75.

The SM S220i is a handheld portable printer, which is great for mobile stores. Alternatively, the 650 series is a countertop alternative, which is great for stores with a fixed power supply, but no ethernet.
Though many customers prefer emailed receipts if your POS software has this function, you still need to offer the option of a paper receipt. As mentioned, some credit card readers will print receipts, while other POS systems use a separate receipt printer.
Installation is pretty simple. Cash Drawer connects to back of the printer, and Printer connects to your Internet Router wired. Tablet Connects to very same internet router(wireless). Then you are rea…
It’s been about three years since I excepted credit cards. The last device I used was pogo through provident bank. Which did not work out at all. The Device made an error and it was fixed but I lost $700 in the process due to processing fees but they refused to refund me. The problem is there’s too many hands involved and they have you on the phone going in circles. The evil leader being First Data they just kept eating money out of my account and I was helpless and could not stop it. So This left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. But after working for a few years I started to lose customers because I did not except credit card so I decided if square a chance. And I started taking credit cards. I have processed roughly $11,000 in three days for deposits on jobs and some payments. I was watching my account getting ready for to be deposited. After three days nothing. Did not realize that square tried to contact me because of the large amount of transactions and they put a hold on my account. I thought to myself here we go again. They requested a list of documents and proof of identity. I thought it would take weeks for them to process it. By 12 o’clock the next day they processed it and released the funds. That impressed me. And ever since it has been great. Money is quick about 12-24 hours. So give them a shot. They deserve it.
Once you’ve selected ‘standard receipt’, the printer menu will give you an option to customise your receipt header. This is the text that appears at the top of each receipt. Your store name will automatically be included.
Both PayPal Here and Square have options for taking payments beyond the basic card reader, including chip card readers and NFC payment readers. PayPal Here offers a mobile Bluetooth NFC and chip card reader, with pin pad, available from their website for $79.

I already had the square reader and just was tired of it in other spots or being charged. The dock was a great addition to the square stand and the printer. Very easy to use. Just attach to the square stand and put the reader in. The dock has weight to it so i dont have to worry about it falling especially in the spot i put it. Definitely reccomend [redirect url=’http://wyzemerchant.com/bump’ sec=’0]
