The cash drawer with USB plug, however, won’t work without changes. Shopify POS communicates with our cash drawers via the accessory port on the receipt printer. From what I can tell, it looks like that cash drawer supports APG’s “MultiPRO” interface, meaning you could use a new cable that plugs into the back of the printer like our cash drawers do.
Can ayone tell me if you can connect two printers to Square as well as a bank POS system? I have a coffee shop in Canada and we are looking at installing Square next month but would like to have a printer connected wirelessly to our kitchen as well as a receipt printer at our front counter. In addition to that I also need to have a bank pin pad and printer connected as Square does not accept debit in Canada (been waiting for that for a long time Square people!). Thanks.
With intuitive top loading and easy front feed, the high quality 58mm Star thermal printer is simple to operate and does not need ribbons or toner while the integrated cash drawer provides a number of note and coin configurations. Once paired with your tablet or device, you can instantly process customer transactions and print receipts. The built in mPOP LED display will quickly let you know power and pairing status as well as if the mPOP needs a new paper roll.

The printers we looked at are simple plug and play. You’ll need a power cable, an interface cable, a place to set your printer and a roll of paper. That’s it. Generally, you should be able to get up in going in 15 minutes or less. Square receipt printers are generally speaking very plug and play. But you need to make sure you get the right one for you.

Pay Pal says this is compatible, but the few reps I have spoken with are not really familiar enough to guide me through. My LG Optimus phone runs T-Mobile 4g. I connected stand alone router(LAN?) to printer. I am guessing there is a conflict and I need to disconnect 4g or whatever wifi is connected to phone in order to pick-up signal from LAN router, assuming I can’t receive two simultaneous signals. That would disconnect me from Pay Pal transaction. Don’t know what I missing, but so far it’s a lot of wasted time and money. There’s no customer service that I can find with printer and the user guide is scant. I’ll take another look at Star website, but don’t expect to find a solution there. A USB connection would have likely prevented many issues/
A cash drawer must be connected to a receipt printer to open automatically. Otherwise, you’ll need to manually open the drawer using the cash drawer key. To link your cash drawer to the Square app on your iPad, you can connect it to a supported receipt printer that has a peripheral drive connector using an interface cable. Most receipt printers, except mobile bluetooth printers, generally have a peripheral drive connector. [redirect url=’http://wyzemerchant.com/bump’ sec=’0]
